Over 450 People Attended the Multi-Minority Chamber Networking Mixer on August 23rd With Over $2,300 Worth of Door Prizes Given Away

It was a night to remember as over 450 people attended the Multi-Minority Chamber Networking Mixer last Thursday, August 23rd. Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton attended the event and welcomed the group and indicated his support to minority business owners.

The mixer attendance was way beyond what we expected,” says Mr. Loren Tapahe, President/CEO of the American Indian Chamber of Commerce of Arizona. “This was a premiere networking mixer hosted by six minority chambers and organizations with twelve participating groups had over 450 guests attending.”

Along with the American Indian Chamber are the following chambers and groups were hosts for the mixer event: the Asian Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Black Chamber of Commerce, the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Associated Minority Contractors of America, and the Grand Canyon Minority Supplier Development Council.

Mr. Ricardo Carlo, President of the Associated Minority Contractors of America organization will be taking the lead for the next multi-minority chamber mixer. He is looking for a date in January 2013.

“Cross-promoting between minority chambers is not a new thing, but with this mixer,” as Tapahe commented, “I hope it will be a spring-board for all the groups to work together more often to contract or buy from one another.”

The mixer was held last Thursday evening, August 23, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the AiRIA Night Club, located on the 2nd floor of the Wild Horse Pass Casino. The night included the giving away of over $2,500 worth of door prizes, including 2 Southwest Airlines Round Trip Tickets to any published route in the U.S.

Any minority chambers or organizations wishing to be included on the e-blast announcements for the next  multi-minority mixer, please email Mr. Loren Tapahe, President/CEO, American Indian Chamber of Commerce of Arizona at Loren.Tapahe@aiccaz.org.
